Recent progress in the immunohistochemistry of solid tumors

H Battifora. Semin Diagn Pathol. 1984 Nov.

Abstract

Improved, more sensitive, immunohistochemical methods and the development of monoclonal antibodies are simplifying the task of solving problems in the diagnosis of tumors in surgical pathology. Presented in this paper is our experience with the antibodies most frequently used in our laboratory to solve common problems in the surgical pathology of solid neoplasms. These are antibodies to keratins, leukocyte common antigen, protein S100, milk fat globule-derived antigen, and antibodies to basal lamina antigens.
