A tract arising from the substantia nigra and covering the surface of the crus cerebri (pes peduncili)
Abstract
The authors succeeded in impregnating very selectively with the short Golgi method a tract arising from the substantia nigra (s.n.) and covering the surface of crus cerebri. Angio- and glioarchitectonies of the tract are described together with nerve cells penetrating with their dendrites or totally sunk into the tract, whose function may be a feed-back loop to the s.n.
