Bone-marrow transplant from an unrelated donor for chronic granulomatous disease
Abstract
A boy with chronic granulomatous disease received a bone-marrow graft from a fully compatible unrelated donor, in association with a modified immunosuppressant regimen. He showed considerable clinical improvement with definite evidence of engraftment, and he has enjoyed a normal life for over 3 years.
