Abstract

A study was made of a change in a total concentration of histones and DNA and a relative content of individual histone fractions in the isolated nuclei of bone marrow and liver of rats 3 h to 14 days following X-irradiation with different doses. A considerable decrease in the concentration of histones and DNA in the nuclei and a change in the relative content of individual histone fractions were observed in the bone marrow. In the liver, these changes were less pronounced.
