[Sources of myoblast development in skeletal muscle regeneration]

[Article in Russian]
R K Danilov. Ontogenez. 1983 Sep-Oct.

Abstract

The regeneration of skeletal muscle tissue was studied upon pharmacological denervation, trauma and combined damage of skeletal muscles in mice. It is suggested that the formation of myoblasts proceeds not only via development of the cells-satellites but also by separation of nucleo-sarcoplasmic territories of the muscle fibres. The ratio of two forms of development of the cells is determined by the experimental conditions which are discussed.
