[Criteria of benign and malignant ulceration of the stomach]
Abstract
Observations were made on 183 patients with benign ulcers and 48 patients with ulcerated forms of gastric cancer subjected to gastric resection. The data obtained at examining the patients are analyzed. A conclusion is made that the final diagnosis of the character of gastric ulceration is possible only after a histological analysis of endoscopic biopsy and of the preparation removed during operation.
