[Chemicals in the environment. History, methods and problems of supranational determination of acceptable daily intake (ADI) (author's transl)]
Abstract
After some short remarks on the history of the methods of determining the acceptable daily intake (ADI), an aim nowadays extended to chemicals in the environment, we briefly describe the procedures presently in use. The increasing importance of genetic pharmacology is referred to with respect to the data of the Food Safety Council. Finally the problems of the ADI of substances with carcinogenic and allergic or sensitizing effects are discussed.
