On the use of repeated measures designs in psychopharmacology
Abstract
A popular paradigm in psychopharmacology is the repeated measures design. Unfortunately the test of equal means across the repeated trials requires an assumption that is often untenable and which can lead to erroneous interpretations. In order to minimize this bias three approaches have been suggested. The authors discuss the three approaches in the context of a psychopharmacologic example.
