Clinical management of metastatic breast cancer
Abstract
The physician treating the patient with recurrent or metastatic breast cancer has a number of available therapeutic options. Various clinical and laboratory factors play a role in the decision process for the choice of the initial and subsequent treatments for such patients. The strategies for palliative therapy are reviewed along with estimates of potential benefits of the various modalities.
