Abstract

A young man with retroperitoneal and mediastinal fibrosis, associated with systemic vasculitis, is reported. Sacroiliitis and the histocompatibility antigen HLA-B27 were also present. The literature regarding vasculitis and HLA-B27 in retroperitoneal fibrosis is reviewed and the implications of this association discussed.
