Sodium hyaluronate and tissue adhesive in treating corneal perforations
Abstract
The injection of sodium hyaluronate through perforation sites prior to tissue adhesive application has extended the current use of this modality to large perforations and perforations in which intraocular tissue is incarcerated. Three clinical cases are described in which the conjoint therapy was used, and four monkey eyes were studied clinically and histopathologically to test for adverse drug interactions.
