Human leukocyte interferon does not induce sister-chromatid exchanges in human blood lymphocytes
Abstract
The effect of human leukocyte interferon on sister-chromatid exchanges (SCE) and chromosomal aberratins was studied in the peripheral blood lymphocytes of 4 healthy male donors. No significant differences were found in the incidence of SCE and aberrations. Also the response to PHA stimulation and the rate of cell multiplication was not altered when the lymphocytes are exposed to human leukocyte interferon.
