Abstract

For the first time M. malmoense was demonstrated in Sweden, thereafter in Wales (GB) and Finland. Lately we have also found lung diseases in Germany. M. malmoense is very difficult to identify because same characteristics are instable and optimal cultivation conditions could not be obtained so far. Agglutination with homologous antisera was found to be specific for M. malmoense as well as lipid patterns which could be demonstrated by DC.
