Reconstructive surgery on the vertebral artery

Abstract

In the last nine years 32 reconstructive operations were performed on the vertebral artery. In proportion to the 1032 operations on the carotid artery, is not the number of vertebral operations, at 3.1% unusually small? Is vertebro-basilar insufficiency too rarely recognized?
