Inhibition of caerulein and physalaemin-induced contractions of guinea-pig isolated ileum by non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs and various steroids and their reversal by prostaglandin E1
Abstract
Two non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs, two antiinflammatory steroids and two sex steroids were found to potently and reversibly inhibit caerulein-induced and physalaemin-induced contractions of guinea-pig isolated ileum. The effects of these drugs were reversed by small amounts of PGE1.
