Computed tomography (CT) evaluation in pulmonary sarcoidosis
Abstract
Eight patients with proven pulmonary sarcoidosis were investigated prospectively by computed tomography (CT) to determine beyond that obtained from conventional chest films. Although CT disclosed minor pulmonary "sarcoid nodules" not seen on the chest films, this did not influence the treatment. We conclude that CT will not replace conventional chest films in the diagnosis and followup of pulmonary sarcoidosis.
