Biochemical indices in white Fulani (Zebu) cattle in Nigeria
Abstract
The values of 14 biochemical indices in the serum of "normal" White Fulani Cattle were determined. Thus, additional information was provided on bicarbonate, urea, creatinine, SGOT, SGPT and alkaline phosphatase. The values obtained were compared with those of other estimates on indigenous and exotic cattle. It is concluded that there is very little difference between normal indigenous and temperate cattle and demonstrable differences could be due to dietary and disease factors.
