[Aggregate morphofunctional index of the thyroid gland]

Abstract
An integrating index for the evaluation of the functional state of the thyroid gland is described. The calculation of the index is based on a conditional 6-score evaluation of morphometric characteristics of the thyroid gland. The index is a product of the mass of epithelium reflecting the number of working elements and the height of epithelium of the thyroid gland follicles describing the intensity of thyreocytes functioning. The possibility of using this index is substantiated.
