[Current review of the detection and treatment of dislocating dysplasias of the hip in early childhood (author's transl)]
Abstract
The authors reviewed 80 cases of CDH and hip dysplasia. Cases have been classified in two groups, the first one corresponding to the children who were seen during the first month of life, the second group involving the children from two to five months old. This classification emphasizes the frequent delay to the treatment in spite of an early diagnosis. This study has led the authors to define the head at risk and to underline the way of a quick cure after a simple treatment when it is early. The study of the two groups allows the authors to codify the rules of the treatment and point out the need of a long follow up.
