[Endoscopic examinations and computed tomography concerning cervical spine positioning in treatment of acute cervical spine injuries (author's transl)]
Abstract
The spatial situation of the cervical spine has been studied under endoscopic and CT-scanning conditions. The effects of ventro- and dorsoflexial movements upon the width of the epidural and subdural space have been noted, and their significance concerning the positioning of the injureds cervical spine has been discussed. The most spacegiving position of the cervical spine is a slight ventroflexion, which is therefore considered the best cervical spine position in case of space requiring alterations of the cervical spine.
