[Multiple primary melanoblastoma of the skin]
Abstract
The study is based on the literature data and 6 patients with multiple primary melanoblastoma of the skin observed by the authors personally. It was found that multiple primary melanoblastomas of the skin are encountered in 0.54% of cases, as a rule, these are metachronous and more frequently develop in young males, involving symmetric portions of the body. Multiplicity of the tumor process does not aggravate the prognosis. In dispensarization of the patients one should bear in mind not only the possibility of local recurrences and metastases but also the development of multiple melanoblastomas, especially in patients having multiple pigmented naevi.
