Sinus tarsi syndrome
Abstract
Sinus tarsi syndrome is a clinical-pathologic entity with characteristic MR imaging manifestations related to the inflammatory changes and ligamentous tears occurring in the hindfoot. Frequently, this entity is associated with other tendon and ligamentous injuries of the ankle. Radiologists should be aware of this condition to direct their search to the specific MR imaging findings.
