Abstract

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a frequently encountered problem in pediatric primary care. Confusion about management of AD exists among parents and providers alike. This review of the literature addresses identification, prevalence, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and health maintenance from a preventive perspective.
