[Depressive patients with delusions--diagnosis and pharmacotherapy in a difficult group with depression]
Abstract
Delusional depressive in-patients are a difficult to treat subgroup of depressives in psychiatric hospital treatment. In the first part of this paper psychopathological signs of mood-congruent delusional depression are shown. In the second part psychopharmacological treatment, especially the combination of antidepressive and antipsychotic medication as part of the whole treatment concept, including psychotherapy and psychosocial measures, is discussed.
