Abstract

Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic inflammatory disease primarily causing changes in connective tissue, though the disease is systemic and many other organs can also be affected. Effective early treatment and proper follow-up are necessary to preserve the patient's quality of life and prevent premature death.
