[Measurements of survival in the evaluation of a treatment. The cardiologist and the large clinical trials of coronary thrombolysis]
Abstract
Since late eighties, large clinical trials on thrombolytic therapy have introduced in cardiology literature the use of survival measures in order to assess the consequences of treatment. In this article a systematic review of the more frequently adopted measures is presented, together with the proposal of other measures, more useful for the clinician.
