[Specialization of occupational health services workers in Europe]

Abstract

Postgraduate education of the occupational health service workers is a key issue for the improvement of working conditions and the health state of working populations. It is organised at various levels (specialisation, diploma, certificate, Master of Science degree). Most European countries organise postgraduate education and training for doctors, nurses, hygienists, technical personnel, psychologists, etc. The professional competence of the occupational health service workers is based on the specialisation and other forms of postgraduate education.
