Profound long-term hypotony without maculopathy after trabeculectomy with antimetabolite

C Kee et al. Acta Ophthalmol (Copenh). 1994 Jun.

Abstract

A 71-year-old white woman with primary open angle glaucoma received trabeculectomy with antimetabolite. After laser suture lysis, intraocular pressure has remained at 1-2 mmHg for 23 months and 12 months in the right and left eye, respectively. However, visual acuity has remained at the preoperative levels of 6/6 and 6/7.5 in the right and left eye, respectively, without hypotony maculopathy in either eye.
