On teaching dermatology to nondermatologists
Abstract
I am aware that the teaching of dermatology to nondermatologists is an issue of some controversy among dermatologists. In responding to the editor's invitation to write to this issue, I must first admit to a career-long practice of teaching dermatology to nondermatologists: to residents in primary care specialties, to generations of medical students, to nurses here in the United States and elsewhere, and to physician assistants and nurse practitioners.
