[Methods of quantitative electrocardiology proposed to evaluate the extent of ischemia and necrosis during the acute phase of myocardial infarction]
Abstract
Many clinical reports have been published over the last decade concerning new quantitative methods of electrocardiography designed to assess infarct size, to monitor the severity of ischaemia, especially during thrombolysis or coronary angioplasty, and to analyse prognostic factors. Although very different, these methods give concordant results. They have become so reliable that they play an important role in the management of acute myocardial infarction.
