[Injuries and emergencies in othorhinolaryngology. Diagnosis and immediate therapy. 1. Injuries of the ear]
Abstract
Following the general discussion of the causes of accidents and emergencies in the ENT-field, important accident-situations are classified and explained according to anatomical criteria. The differential diagnostic aspects as well as possibilities of first aid are discussed. The most important aspect of first aid is to assess the situation correctly in regard to acute dangers and prospective damage. Important problems and correct guide-lines for first aid at the site of accident are mentioned and discussed.
