Carers in crisis

Abstract

Care in the community has left over six million people with a dual function, however, combining the duties of work with the responsibilities of being a 'carer' might just prove to be too much for many employees. P J Whyte, describes one such example and argues that the skills of an occupational health practitioner can be used to support the growing numbers of carers in our workforce.
