Abstract

Because of the intimate relationship of the root canal system and the periodontium, developing endodontic and periodontal lesions may mimic each other in clinical and radiographic appearance. The etiology, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of endodontic and periodontal lesions will be discussed.
