Abstract

Starting out from the insufficiencies in the psychotherapeutic care for elderly patients, the treatment possibilities available in psychosomatic clinics are delineated. Utilization of these possibilities by the elderly is pointed out, some fundamental aspects of gerontopsychosomatic rehabilitation are discussed, and it is shown that specific aspects must be considered in the treatment of this population.
