Emphysematous gastritis

Abstract

Emphysematous gastritis is a rare infectious disease of the stomach. A patient with fatal emphysematous gastritis associated with empyema thoracis is reported. The diagnosis was suspected as a result of a plain skiagram of the abdomen and was confirmed on CT scan of the abdomen.
