The treatment of a fusion between the maxillary central incisor and supernumerary tooth: report of a case

H Kayalibay et al. J Clin Pediatr Dent. 1996 Spring.

Abstract

Fusion has been described as a developmental anomaly characterized by the union of two adjacent teeth. Supernumerary teeth develop as a consequence of the proliferation of epithelial cells from dental lamina. In this paper a fusion between maxillary central incisor and a supernumerary tooth which required endodontic, surgical and periodontal treatment is presented.
