Abstract
Several aspects of the problem are reviewed, including the estimated risk post-gastric surgery, relationship between stomal primary cancer (SPC) and the previous type of surgical procedure, the more often localization, histopathological issues, pathogenesis, symptomatology and diagnosis and the rationale of surgical treatment. It is concluded, we do not know which is the real prevalence of SPC and the fact that the majority of cases, are diagnosed too late.
