Long-term morbidity of jejunoileal bypass

A J Telmos. Am Surg. 1977 Jun.

Abstract

A total of 169 patients who had jejunoileal bypass for morbid obesity were available for study more than 24 months after operation. Continuing high morbidity, especially "the bloats" and the regaining of weight, are arguments against the use of jejunoileal bypass unless clear medical indications exist.
