[The complex interaction of the hypothalamic suprachiasmatic nuclei with the epiphysis and corpus striatum--a functionally unified system for regulating circadian behavioral fluctuations]
Abstract
Suprachiasmatic nuclei (SCN) of the hypothalamus are a pacemaker of circadian fluctuations of behaviour. Their signals reach the executive organs by the hormonal and neuronal pathways through the brain messenger structures. It has been demonstrated with relationships between the SCN, the pineal gland and striatum that these communications present the closed and autoregulated functional blocks.
