Is general anaesthesia for orthodontic extractions in children necessary?
Abstract
Recent surveys of children have shown the use of general anaesthesia for extractions by GDPs has declined while its use in hospitals may actually have increased. Shaw and Weatherill argue the aim should be to reduce its use.
