Chronic cough. Diagnostic and management options
Abstract
Chronic cough is divided into productive and non-productive presentations. The various causes of each are reviewed and a management approach offered. It is emphasized that a cough lasting more than a few weeks merits investigation. The article concludes with a summary of the appropriate investigations available to assist in diagnosing the cause of this troublesome and difficult problem.
