Iatrogenic injury to the phrenic nerve nerve in infants and young children
Abstract
Five cases of iatrogenic phrenic nerve injury in infants are presented. The difficulties of diagnosis and treatment are outlined and reference made to the possible sites of injury. The necessity for early recognition of the injury, and its prompt relief if indicated, are stressed.
