Health care workers and workplace violence

Abstract
Aspects of violence affecting health care workers addressed here include risk factors, the cost of violence, and prevention. Eight steps for developing a violence prevention program are described, including developing a written program and carrying out a worksite analysis. A variety of control measures also are listed.
