Distortion in converging collimator scintiphotography
Abstract
Distortion is intrinsic to converging collimator scintiphotography although converging collimation offers improved resolution and sensitivity. The nature of the distortion is defined and compared to nondistorted parallel-hole collimator images. The analogy between long and short focal-film-distance radiographs, and parallel and converging hole collimators, is discussed.
