Abstract

The cases of two patients with neurological symptoms related to heroin abuse are reported. The first patient developed rhabdomyolysis, bilateral cortical infarctions and convulsions after intravenous injection of heroin. The second patient developed an acute disabling cerebellar ataxia after intraarterial injection of heroin. The author discusses, neurological complications of heroin abuse in the light of these two cases.
