[Surgical therapy of pancreatic and periampullary carcinoma in elderly patients]
Abstract
A review of morbidity and mortality was performed for 84 patients over 70 years of age who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy at our institution. Anastomotic leakage was the only significant complication. Operative mortality, although greater in this patient group, is acceptable.
