Pediatric oncology: past, present, and new modalities of treatment
Abstract
Although the past two decades have shown a remarkable improvement in the survival rate of children with malignant disorders, cancer is still the primary cause of death from disease in children who are between 1 and 14 years old. This article gives an overview of past, current, and future direction of pediatric cancer treatment modalities.
