Abstract

As pulmonary disorders become more prevalent overall, obstetricians will see an increasing number of these conditions in their pregnant patients. Management of respiratory disorders during pregnancy is not markedly different from management in the nonpregnant state, but the physician must be aware of the respiratory changes in pregnancy and how these affect the fetus in order to optimize treatment.
