Sun awareness at Mayo High School
Abstract
Using a survey that I created, I examined the attitudes, knowledge, and activities among fellow high school students concerning the sun. One part of the questionnaire evaluated the students' knowledge of the sun and the second part studied their attitudes toward protection while in the sun. Based on the results of this survey, I found that the majority of students attending Mayo High School are involved in outdoor activities and that physical appearance (a tanned look) among these students has priority over the risks that accompany sun exposure.
