Glossopharyngeal neuralgia with cardiac syncope: treatment with a permanent cardiac pacemaker and carbamazepine
Abstract
Cardiac synope was associated with glossopharyngeal neuralgia in an elderly woman. The patient also manifested severe carotid sinus sensitivity. Permanent demand pacemaker and carbamazepine therapy were used successfully to alleviate the symptoms.
